Recipe for Disaster

DISASTER
Take
2 - four year old nieces
1 - can of spray adhesive
2 or 3 - jars of glitter
and
1- large bag of feathers
and a lot of good intentions

This list of ingredients should lead you to know I was on the road to disaster the minute I started to brings all these components together...

The end result -

Two smiling little girls and one "old" aunt with hands encrusted with at least 1/4 inch thick of glitter super glued to every inch of her hands and fingers and to make matters worse, to finish of this mess...multi colored feathers stuck everywhere

I finished out this experience bent over the sink using every solution, paste and chemical in the house scrubbing my hands with a Scott brand abrasive sponge trying remove this MESS...

Take my advice....don't try it!!!!!

Natalie and Emily showing off the Easter baskets they made Saturday evening while spending a sleep over...baskets were filled with colored grasses and glittered eggs and adorned with ribbons, butterflies....

Here is Emily with one of her baskets made for Grampy and the other for Mommy and Daddy...
Here is Natalie with her baskets for Pop and Grammy and the other for Mommy and Daddy...

We also made "Over the Fence Brownies" a recipe from King Arthur Flour/Bakers catalog...absolutely delicious...made with chocolate bits, dutch processed cocoa, butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla, salt, baking powder, flour and espresso powder the secret ingredient that really bring out the chocolate flavor....

All in all we had a lot of fun...
